Neversoft Warranty Policy

Computers and Notebooks supplied by IBM or Toshiba

These computers are covered by a manufacturers warranty, that varies from 90-days to 3-years depending on the make and model.  The warranty coverage will always be documented in the sales information on this web site.

Neversoft Built Computers

These systems are built by Neversoft from all-new components and are supplied with a return to base 1-year warranty.  If for some reason, you have a problem with your system within 7 days of being shipped, we will either fix it or refund your money.

Computers built by Neversoft are covered by a 1-year return-to-base warranty.

In the event, the computer arrives at your location "dead on arrival", we will do one of the following:

bulletExchange the faulty component if the faulty component can be identified over the telephone
bulletAsk you to return the computer for repair.  We ask that you pay the return shipping and
Neversoft will repair the computer and return it to you at our expense.
bulletRefund your money, but we must charge you a 15% re-stocking fee to cover our costs of
repairing or replacing the computer or component.  Freight costs are not refundable under any circumstances.

You must contact Neversoft to obtain an RMA number before returning the computer or part.  Neversoft will not accept any shipment without an RMA being previously issued. You must indicate the RMA number provided on the outside of the packaging.

Neversoft will not accept any return without an RMA being previously issued.

All shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.  All items returned for repair or refund shoud be shipped with insurance.  We cannot be responsible for any damage that occurs during transit.

Neversoft reserves the right to refuse any item sent without insurance.  In the event a returned item is received and it appears it may have been damaged during shipment, we will refuse to accept delivery of the item.  The sender is responsible for obtaining compensation through their freight provider.

Multimedia Projectors

Neversoft will only accept a projector for return in the event of it being "dead on arrival" where the projector will not work at all when delivered.  The projector must be returned and arrive back at Neversoft or the distributor within seven days from the date of shipment.  All returns must be authorised and an RMA number issued and be clearly visible on the outside of the package.  Neversoft and/or the distributor will refuse to accept any returns made without authorisation.  The projector must be returned in brand-new condition with all packaging, manuals, cables and software.  Returns may attract a 15% restocking fee and shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Rainbow Effect on DLP Projectors

It is possible that a purchaser may be susceptible to seeing "rainbow effect" when viewing a DLP projector.  This is due to the manner in which DLP projectors operate by the passing of the image through a rotating colour wheel.  Neversoft will not refund the purchaser in the event of their seeing the rainbow effect on a projector.  Neversoft strongly encourages prospective purchasers to view a demonstration of the projector they wish to purchase prior to the sale.

Dead/Stuck Pixels/Mirrors

LCD monitors, LCD Projectors, Plasma Screens and DLP Projectors can all suffer from dead pixels.  The condition shows up a either a pixel (dot) on the screen that is either dark or stuck on all the time.  Each manufacturer has their own policy on when they will repair or replace a projector with this condition.  This is a matter that must be dealt with between the purchaser and the manufacturer.  Neversoft cannot accept a projector for return due to dead/stuck mirrors/pixels.  The best advice we can offer is to be very persistent with them.  DLP projectors rarely suffer from this condition, but it can happen.  LCD projectors are affected more often.  You will find that all manufacturers consider a certain number of stuck/dead pixels/mirrors to be normal and will not repair the unit for a single pixel failure.
